Delhi Study Group is a non governmental organization (NGO) working constantly for the cause of justice and the common man in Delhi the capital of India. Year 2015 is the 21st year of our team activism. We are proud of our male, female friends and colleagues associated with us in large numbers.
It is led by Ex. Delhi Legislator Mr. Vijay Jolly, who is a prominent business exporter from India. The eminent Patrons are Mrs. Pinky Anand (Additional Solicitor General of India) and Young Delhi Member of Indian Parliament Mr. Pravesh Verma. The first public program titled “Delhi Govt. : Achievements & Failures” was organized on 26th July 1994. The Chief Speakers were : Then Chief Minister of Delhi Shri. Madan Lal Khurana & The Leader of Opposition in Delhi Shri. Jag Pravesh Chandra. The program was a grand success and all the national newspapers of India carried six column news item with photographs. From there on, Delhi Study Group had a flying start & actively works at the ground zero level till today.
It is dedicated to the welfare of the citizens and to ensure for the betterment of the society. It is a registered society under the Indian Society’s Registration Act- 1860.
It comprises of people from all walks of life including Doctors, Engineers, Architects, Ex-Defense Personnel, Lawyers, Educationists, Artists, Chartered Accountants, Journalists, Diplomats and Students. The organization is dedicated to the aim of nation building by generating public awareness through discussions, seminars, exhibitions & research papers etc. It has successfully organized various programs and working papers in the past concerning various civic, national and international issues.
The past three public programs of Delhi Study Group were hugely successful. “International Women’s Day” on 7th March 2015 attended by Hon’ble Governor of Goa Mrs. Mridula Sinha, next Open House Session on “Electoral Reforms in India” on 18th March 2015 & attended by Chief Election Commissioner of India Mr. H.S. Brahma and the next was the “Felicitation of Newly Elected All Three Mayors of Delhi and Inter- Action with Public” on 13th May 2015. Earlier under our program “Nepal Help” large consignment of Relief Material consisting of tents, tarpaulins, blankets, face masks, plastic gloves, cotton gauge, skirts for girls, trousers for boys were handed over to Nepal Ambassador in India Mr. Deep Kumar Upadhyay on 6th May 2015 at Nepal Embassy, New Delhi.
An important event is organized by the group on Saturday, 13th June 2015 at New Delhi to “Honor African Head of Missions in India” and Promote People to People Friendship between India & Africa. Nearly 39 Head of African Missions i.e. Ambassadors & High Commissioners confirmed to attend and participate.
Recently Delhi Study Group delegation visited Cambodia to Promote People to People Friendship, Understanding & Diplomacy between the citizens of India & Cambodia. It was hosted by the Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Sok An and the ruling Cambodia People’s Party.
The next destination is a visit to Royal Kingdom of Bhutan from 15th to 21st June 2015 to Promote Indo – Bhutan Friendly Relations.
The international programs of Delhi Study Group are motivated by the foreign policy initiatives of Indian Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi to forge friendly relations with neighboring countries.
