Concern Expressed on Conversions in Nepal
New Delhi, 23rd Sep 2017: Indian BJP Leader Vijay Jolly visited the United Kingdom & promoted “India-UK Friendship” during one week in London.
“Modi Jaisa Koi Nahi” Jolly’s speech at UK Parliament was a big hit among the UK Parliamentarians, Non-Resident Indians and People of Indian Origin overseas.
Jolly’s week-long public programs in London started with hour-long courtesy call meeting & interaction with His Excellency Mr. Y.K. Sinha, Indian High Commissioner at India House in the United Kingdom. Present on this occasion were prominent Nepali businessman Ajeyaraj Sumargi.
BJP leader Jolly delivered the keynote address at London book launch program of prominent Nepali businessman Ajeya Raj Sumargi among a large audience of Englishmen, Nepali & Non-Resident Indians. Audio CD of poetess Smt. Asmita Sumargi was also released on the occasion. Prominently present were UK Overseas Friends of BJP President & Treasurer respectively Lalubhai Parekh & Shashi Patel, Ashok Verma-President NRI Society of UK, NRI businessman Tej Sekhon & Sardar S.S. Ahluwalia, Ram Narayan Badri-Nepal MP, Yog Phagami-President Overseas Friends of Nepal UK etc.
At the London program, BJP leader Vijay Jolly expressed concern over reports of continued religious conversions of poor Hindus in Nepal. Frequent change of governments in Nepal hampered economic development of the Himalayan nation stated Mr. Jolly in his half an hour-long speech in Hindi & English among cheering crowds.
During a special visit to BAPs- Swaminarayan Mandir -London, Mr. Jolly offered “Jalabhishek” & sought blessings of local Pramukh Sadhu Yog Vivek Swami & Sadhu Prabuddhmunidas.
While speaking at House of Lords, UK parliament, BJP leader Vijay Jolly shared dais with notable British Parliamentarians namely Virendra Sharma (Labor Party MP), Bob Blackman (MP), Gavin Shuker (MP), Ms. Seema Malhotra (MP), Kelvin Hopkins (MP), Baroness Sandip Verma, Lord Dholakia, Lord Karan Bilimoria, Lord Raj Lumba, Baroness Flather and NRI Society UK President Ashok Verma etc.
Mr. Jolly on this occasion also conveyed warm good wishes of BJP National President Amit Shah with record 100 million political workers at this august gathering. Mr. Jolly also praised Mrs. Bharulata Kamble, NRI – UK citizen for earning a place in World Guineas Record for her 33,000 kms, thru 32 nations, Solo Car Drive from London to New Delhi last year.
Lord Swaraj Paul hosted an exclusive lunch for visiting BJP Leader Jolly & prominent Nepali businessman Sumargi at Bright Courtyard Club restaurant. Meeting with local OFBJP office-bearers led by President Lalubhai Parekh, Vice President Darshan Grewal & Roshan Punj and Treasurer Shashi Patel took place in London. Radio 92 FM London recorded Mr. Jolly’s interview while CNN-IBN-7 London also interviewed BJP leader on Modi Government’s achievements during the past three years rule in India.
