Delhi Citizens Homage to Dev Anand Karamyogi
New Delhi : Delhi Study Group led by President Mr. Vijay Jolly organized a Delhi citizens homage to Evergreen Indian Film Star Dev Anand on his terahavi (13th day from cremation) at Constitution Club, New Delhi. Late Dev Anand was a member of Delhi Study Group. He had attended many a memorable programs in close association with Mr. Jolly in the past. The program was conducted by eminent Lawyer & Gen. Sec. Mrs. Pinky Anand.
“Dev Anand ki Yaadein” titled public meeting in memory of the thespian evergreen film star who died in London was paid rich tributes by prominent Indians led by Shatrughan Sinha (prominent Indian Film Star & Member of Parliament), Ashwini Kumar (Resident Editor Punjab Kesari newspaper), Rajat Sharma (Chairman India TV), Pankaj Vohra (Political Editor Hindustan Times newspaper) and Prof. Sydney Rebeiro (Dean University of Delhi). Former Mayor of Delhi Ms. Arti Mehra & Senior BJP Leader Vijay Goel also attended.
DSG President Mr. Vijay Jolly while speaking on the occasion termed Late Dev Anand as a true karamyogi. Mr. Jolly recalled his first meeting with Dev Sahab in year 1978, when he came to Delhi as a Chief Guest at Delhi University Students Union program titled: “Miss & Mr. Delhi University Personality Contest”. Mr. Jolly further revealed that at that point of time Dev sahib had motivated him and had exhorted young Mr. Jolly to always follow the dictum- “See positive – Hear positive – Think positive & Speak positive”. The spirit of Dev to think young, to remain active & to remain creative shall always be a eternal message for the present young generation to follow stated Mr. Jolly.
Shatrughan Sinha, Member of Parliament recalled his long association with Dev Anand. He stated that he became nervous only twice in his life. Once meeting Dev Anand and another with Smt. Indra Gandhi. Shatrughan revealed that he always wanted a cosmetic surgery on his bruised face. But it was only Dev Anand who advised him not to do so. Dev was a generous man.
Prominent journalist Ashwini Chopra recalled his age old family relations with Dev Anand. He further revealed that the Dadi Maa (grandmother of Dev Anand) was termed lunatic since she always swore against the then British rule in India. The Lahore bus trip by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and livid movements spent in Dev’s company were recollected by Mr. Chopra.
India TV Chairman Mr. Rataj Sharma stated that Dev Anand never wanted to discuss his romance with his yesterday heroines in public. So despite Mr. Sharma’s best efforts, he could not rope in Dev Sahib for his “Aap Ki Adalat” popular India TV program aired on prime time in India & abroad.
Pankaj Vohra, Prof. Sydeny Rebeiro, Vijay Goel & Arti Mehra also offered their floral tribute to Late Dev Anand at this program.
दिल्ली के नागरिकों द्वारा देव आनंद कर्मयोगी को श्रृद्धांजलि
नई दिल्लीः दिल्ली स्ट्डी ग्रुप अध्यक्ष श्री विजय जौली के नेतृत्व में दिल्ली के नागरिकों की ओर से भारत के सुप्रसिद्ध फिल्म अभिनेता स्व0 देव आनंद की 13वीं के अवसर पर कन्स्टीट्यूशन क्लब, नई दिल्ली में एक शोक सभा आयोजित की गई। स्वर्गीय देव आनंद दिल्ली स्ट्डी ग्रुप के सदस्य रहे। तथा उन्होंने अतीत में श्री जौली के साथ कई यादगार कार्यक्रमों में भाग भी लिया था। कार्यक्रम का संचालन प्रसिद्ध वकील व महामंत्री श्रीमती पिंकी आनंद ने किया।
‘‘देव आनंद की यादें‘‘ नामक शीर्षक से सदाबहार फिल्म अभिनेता जिनकी हाल ही में लंदन में देहान्त हुआ था, उनको श्री शत्रुघ्न सिन्हा (प्रसिद्ध भारतीय फिल्म अभिनेता व सांसद) के नेतृत्व में भावभीनी श्रृद्धांजलि अर्पित की गई। इस अवसर पर पंजाब केसरी अखबार के संपादक श्री अश्विनी कुमार, इंण्डिया टीवी प्रमुख श्री रजत शर्मा, हिन्दुस्तान टाइम्स अखबार के राजनीतिक संपादक पंकज वोहरा तथा दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय डीन प्रोफेसर सिडनी रेबेरियो ने देव आनंद के साथ बिताये क्षणों को साझा भी किया। इस अवसर पर दिल्ली की पूर्व महापौर सुश्री आरती मेहरा व वरिष्ठ भाजपा नेता विजय गोयल उपस्थित रहे।
दिल्ली स्ट्डी ग्रुप अध्यक्ष श्री विजय जौली ने बोलते हुए देव आनंद को एक कर्मयोगी की संज्ञा दी। श्री जौली ने याद दिलाते हुए कहा कि वर्ष 1978 में वह देव साहब से पहली बार मिले। तथा बाद में देव को उन्होंने दिल्ली विश्व विद्यालय छात्र संघ के एक कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में आमंत्रित भी किया था। यह कार्यक्रम ‘‘मिस. एण्ड मिस्टर दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी’’ शीर्षक से आयोजित किया गया था। इसमें देव साहब ने बहुत रूचि से भाग लिया था। श्री जौली ने देव आनंद को याद करते हुए बताया कि उस समय युवा रहे श्री जौली को देव साहब ने हमेशा ‘‘सकारात्मक देखो-सकारात्मक सुनों-सकारात्मक सोचो और सकारत्मक बोलो’’ के भाव का पालन करने के लिए उद्वेलित किया था। देव साहब युवा व सक्रिय व्यक्तित्व के स्वामी थे। और उनकी यादें हमेशा तरोताजा रहेंगी।
सांसद शत्रुघ्न सिन्हा ने देव आनंद के संग अपने लम्बे संबंधों की विस्तृत चर्चा की। उन्होंने बताया कि वह जीवन में केवल दो बार नर्वस हुए। पहली मुलाकात देव आनंद से और दूसरी बार श्रीमती इन्दिरा गॉधी से भेंट के दौरान। श्री सिन्हा ने कहा कि वह अपने कटे-फटे व चोट खाये चेहरे पर कास्मैटिक प्लास्टिक सर्जरी कराना चाहते थे। लेकिन देव साहब ने उन्हें इसके विपरीत समझाया। और श्री सिन्हा इसी अदा के दम पर एक सफल अभिनेता बन कर बाद में सामने आये।
पंजाब केसरी के संपादक व प्रख्यात पत्रकार अश्विनी चोपड़ा ने देव आनंद के साथ परिवारिक रिश्तों का जिक्र विस्तृत रूप से किया। उन्होंने बताया कि देव आनंद की दादी को पगली कहा जाता था। क्योंकि वह हमेशा भारत में अंग्रेजों के शासन के विरूद्ध रहीं थीं। श्री चौपड़ा ने प्रधानमंत्री वाजपेयी की लाहौर बस यात्रा के दौरान देव आनंद के संग बिताए गये क्षणों को बड़े चाव से याद किया।
इण्डिया टीवी अध्यक्ष श्री रजत शर्मा ने बताया कि देव आनंद अपने साथ की अभिनेत्रियों के साथ रोमान्स के क्षणों की चर्चा सार्वजनिक रूप से नहीं करते थे। इसी लिए श्री शर्मा के अथक प्रयासों के बावजूद, वह देव साहब को अपने लोकप्रिय टीवी कार्यक्रम ‘‘आप की अदालत’’ में बुलवाने में असफल रहे।
इस अवसर पर हिन्दूस्तान टाइम्स के राजनीतिक पत्रकार श्री पंकज वोहरा, डीन विश्वविद्यालय प्रोफेसर सिडनी रेविरो, पूर्व केन्द्रीय मंत्री श्री विजय गोयल व पूर्व महापौर सुश्री आरती मेहरा ने भी स्व0 देव आनंद को पुष्पांजलि अर्पित की।
