India for No War with Pakistan - Vajpayee & PM Modi Praised for Promoting Peace with Pak : Jolly 

New Delhi, 30th May 2016 : Delhi Study Group President & Ex. Delhi BJP MLA Vijay Jolly organized a successful & over-crowded   program on "India - Pakistan Relations" at Constitution Club, New Delhi. High Commissioners & Ambassadors including diplomats of New Zealand, Australia, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Germany, Bangladesh, France, Belgium, Algeria ,Zambia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Brunei, Oman, Qatar, Fiji etc. attended along with Indian intelligentsia in large attendance.  DSG Patron Mrs. Pinky Anand & Additional Solicitor General of India welcomed the guests.

The Chief Speaker Abdul Basit, Hon'ble High Commissioner of Islamic Republic of Pakistan while delivering keynote address expressed his gratitude for Delhi Study Group. He said that in a short span of 68 years, Pakistan a poor country has progressed rapidly. It has achieved milestones in science & technology, nuclear power, textiles and is second largest in peace keeping forces at UN. Pakistan wants peace with India. The common problems & issues can be resolved thru dialogue. Our relations with India need to be improved. Peace is in our mutual interest. Sushma Swaraj visited Pakistan last year. PM Modi came on 25th Dec. But unfortunately due to 2nd Jan 2016 Pathankot attack, the dialogue between the two nations could not commence. We hope it shall start soon. And issues related to Kashmir & Siachen shall be resolved soon. There is a need to remove tariff barriers and simplify visa regimes. Also a twelve minute short movie on "Vibrant Pakistan" was screened by Pakistan High Commission.

While delivering welcome address, Vijay Jolly condemned terrorism. He stated that India wants peace & friendship with Pakistan & no war. Mr. Jolly specially appreciated the Lahore Bus Yatra of 19th Feb 1999 of then PM A.B. Vajpayee & recent Pakistan trip by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25th Dec 2015 to Promote India - Pakistan Relations.   

Mr. Jolly echoed Indian alarm on the recent comment by Pakistan nuclear scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan that "Nuclear armed Pakistan can target Delhi in 5 minutes" made on the 18th anniversary of Pakistan first nuclear test in 1998. It is provocation and against the popular will of friendship and goodwill prevailing among the citizens of both the nations. He was loudly cheered on this issue by the assembled gathering.     

A colored booklet on recent trip to Pakistan by DSG delegation led by Vijay Jolly along with Vijay Mehta & Ms. Lubna Asif was presented to Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit. DSG Vice President Vijay Mehta & Jt. Secretary Lubna Asif spoke on the occasion. Program was compered by Gen. Sec. Org Narendra Chawla. Famous Indian Film actress & singer Salma Agha attended and rendered famous filmi ghazhal ""Dil Ke Arma-Aansuon mein baha - gaye".

भारत -पाकिस्तान के साथ युद्ध नहीं चाहता, वाजपेयी व प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की प्रसंशा
पाकिस्तान के साथ शांति को बढ़ावा देने के लिए: जौली

नई दिल्ली, 31 मई 2016ः दिल्ली स्ट्डी ग्रुप अध्यक्ष व पूर्व दिल्ली भाजपा विधायक विजय जौली के नेतृत्व में ‘‘भारत - पाकिस्तान संबंधों’’ पर कन्स्टीट्यूशन क्लब, नई दिल्ली में सार्वजनिक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। इस अवसर पर अनेक देशों के राजदूत व राजनयिक उपस्थित रहे। जिनमें विशेषकर न्यूजीलैण्ड, आस्ट्रेलिया, अफगानिस्तान, भूटान, नेपाल, जर्मनी, बॉग्लादेश, फ्रांस, बेल्जियम, अल्जीरिया, जाम्बिया, मलेशिया, इण्डोनेशिया, फिल्लीपीन्स, सर्बिया, श्रीलंका, ताइवान, ब्रुनाई, ओमान, कतर, फीजी के संग भारतीय बुद्धीजीवी बड़ी संख्या में उपस्थित रहे। ग्रुप संरक्षक श्रीमती पिंकी आनंद (भारत की अतिरिक्त सॉलिसीटर जनरल) ने अतिथियों व दर्शकों का भव्य स्वागत किया।

मुख्य वक्ता पाकिस्तान उच्चायुक्त अब्दुल बासित ने दिल्ली स्ट्डी ग्रुप के प्रति आभार व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने कहा कि पाकिस्तान गरीब देश है। पिछले 68 वर्षो की छोटी अवधि में हमने विज्ञान व प्रौद्योगिकी, परमाणु उर्जा व वस्त्र उद्योग में अभूतपूर्ण प्रगति की है। आज संयुक्त राष्ट्र में शांति बल देने में हम दूसरे स्थान पर हैं। पाकिस्तान भारत के साथ शांति चाहता है। आम समस्याओं और मुद्दों को बातचीत के द्वारा हल किया जा सकता है। भारत के साथ हमारे संबंध सुधरने की अत्यंक आवश्यकता है। शांति हम सबके हित में है। सुष्मा स्वराज ने पिछले साल पाकिस्तान का दौरा किया था। गत् 25 दिसम्बर को मोदी जी भी पाकिस्तान आये। लेकिन दुर्भाग्यवश 2 जनवरी 2016 को पठानकोट हमले के बाद दोनों देशों के बीच बातचीत शुरू नहीं हो सकी। हमें उम्मीद है यह जल्दी शुरू होगी। और कशमीर व सियाचीन से संबंधित मुद्दों पर हल भी निकलेगा। दोनों देशों के बीच शुल्क बाधाओं के साथ-2 वीजा व्यवस्था को सरल बनाने की आवश्यकता है। इस अवसर पर ‘‘वाइब्रेन्ट पाकिस्तान’’ पर एक लघु फिल्म पाकिस्तान उच्चायोग द्वारा दिखाई गई।

भाजपा नेता विजय जौली ने अध्यक्षीय भाषण में आतंकवाद की कड़ी निन्दा की। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत -पाकिस्तान से शांति व दोस्ती के संबंध का पक्षधर है। हम पाकिस्तान से युद्ध नहीं चाहते। इस अवसर पर श्री जौली ने 19 फरवरी 1999 में तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी द्वारा लाहौर बस यात्रा तथा हाल ही में 25 दिसम्बर 2015 को प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी द्वारा पाकिस्तान की यात्रा की भूरी-भूरी प्रसंशा की। उन्होंने कहा कि इससे दोनों देशों में शांति को बढ़ावा देने का संदेश जाता है।

श्री जौली ने पाकिस्तान के परमाणु वैज्ञानिक अब्दुल कादिर खॉन के हाल के ब्यान की ‘‘परमाणु हथियारों से युक्त, पाकिस्तान 5 मिनट में दिल्ली को लक्षित कर सकता हैं’’ की कड़ी आलोचना व निन्दा की। इस ब्यान को जौली ने उत्तेजना भड़काने वाला तथा दोनों देशों के नागरिकों के मन में मैत्री व सद्भावना संदेश के विपरीत बताया।

पाकिस्तान की हाल की यात्रा पर दिल्ली स्ट्डी ग्रुप के प्रतिनिधिमण्डल की रिपोर्ट व रंगीन फोटोयुक्त पुस्तिका पाकिस्तान उच्चायुक्त अब्दुल बासित को भेंट की गई। उपाध्यक्ष विजय मेहता व सहसचिव लुबना आसिफ ने भी इस अवसर पर अपने विचार रखे। कार्यक्रम का संचालन महामंत्री संगठन नरेन्द्र चावला ने किया।
प्रसिद्ध फिल्म अभिनेत्री व गायिका सलमा आगा ने कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित होकर प्रसिद्ध फिल्मी गजल ‘‘दिल के अरमॉ ऑसुओं में बह गये’’ भी गाया। जिस पर उपस्थित अतिथि मंत्रमुग्ध हो उठे।
