Colorful Teej –heralds Gaiety –Mukhtar A. Naqvi
The auspicious festival of Teej marking the arrival of monsoon and transforming the hot, dusty and barren summer landscape of India into fertile green beehive of activity was organized today by Delhi Study Group. The festival of swings decorated with flowers, young girls and women dressed in green & red clothes, singing songs in celebration of the advent of monsoon was organized under the leadership of Shri. Vijay Jolly, President Delhi Study Group and BJP MLA in Govt. of Delhi. The programme was celebrated in the gracious presence of Sh. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Member of Parliament & Vice President, BJP and at his 26, Lodhi Estate residence in New Delhi.
Teej the festival for the daughters of India and dedicated to the Goddess Parvati, commemorating her husband Lord Shiva is celebrated by Delhi Study Group every year. Last year the function was organized at the residence of Leader of Opposition and BJP President Shri. Lal Krishna Advani. According to Hindu mythology, on the 3rd day after the new moon in the month of Shravan, Goddess Parvati went to the house of Lord Shiva her husband and was united with him. Also in the month of Shravan, the long awaited monsoon finally arrives bringing relief to the parched land and thirsty throats. A lot of merriment prevails during the Teej celebrations.
Today groups of men and women sang, danced and played musical instruments on this occasion. A musical evening with traditional songs and dances were performed by lady members of Delhi Study Group led by Smt. Madhu Pandey, Vandana Pathak, Digvijay Dixit, Kalpna Garg etc. Punjabi Gidda dance – “Mai – Wari – Mai – Wari – Ne Samia” was performed by Ms. Pinky & Ms. Sakhia. Gujarati Dandia dance –“Mai Toa Chodre Chali Babul Ka Desh” was enacted by a group dance consisting of Balvinder Kaur, Vandana, Madhu, Kalpna, Mudita, Vimal, Chandrakanta, Jayanti, Parvati, Meera, Krishna & Vijay Pingolia etc. Traditional Savan geets were sung by Smt. Madhu Pandey with bol –“Lal Dupatta Uhar Gaya Re –Mere Hava Ke Jhonke Se”. A Oddissi dance recital was performed by a student of Delhi University Ms. Reetika. A Geet heralding the arrival of monsoon was sung by Smt. Kusum Nigam –“Thandi Hava –Kali Ghata –Aa Gai Jhum Ke”. A Rajasthani folk dance was performed by Mrs. Maheshwari & Veena.
Smt. & Shri. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi enjoyed Teej Jhulwa’s on the rhythms of loud music along with gracious ladies and girls. The assembled women folks including lady diplomats from China, Pakistan, Italy, Japan, Belgium, Poland, Belarus, Iran, Uzbekistan, France, Sweden, USA, Canada, Fiji and Australia were treated with Mehndi, colorful bangles & delicious food. Prominent office bearers of DSG namely Bhupinder Kansal, Ashok Garg, Manoj Arora, Mukesh Gupta, Pinky Anand, Siddharth Singh, Pradeep Kapur and Rajender Gupta welcomed the assembled guest and prominent citizens of Delhi with flowers.
हरियाली तीज हर्षोउल्लास का प्रतीक: विजय जौली
नई दिल्ली, 21 जुलाई 2009ः हरियाली तीज का त्योहार आगामी गुरूवार, 23 जुलाई 2009 को सायं 5.00 बजे से भाजपा के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष श्री राजनाथ सिंह के सान्निध्य में आयोजित किया जा रहा है। दिल्ली स्ट्डी गु्रप के अध्यक्ष एवं पूर्व दिल्ली विधायक विजय जौली की अगुवाई में यह कार्यक्रम भाजपा के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष के 38, अषोक रोड, नई दिल्ली स्थित निवास पर धूम-धाम से आयोजित किया जा रहा है।
भारत में हरियाली तीज का त्योहार वर्षा ऋतु के आगमन एवं हर्षोउल्लास के वातावरण का प्रतीक है। तीज के त्योहार का मुख्य आकर्षण फूलों से सजे झूले, हरी व लाल साड़ियों में लिपटी लड़कियॉ व महिलाएं, हाथों में मेंहदी व रंग बिरंगी चुड़ियॉ पहने वर्षा ऋतु के आगमन पर सावन के गीत गाती दिखती हैं।
भाजपा अध्यक्ष श्री राजनाथ सिंह के सान्निध्य में आयोजित इस हरियाली तीज उत्सव में मुख्य आकर्षण गीत संगीत, नृत्य, फूलों सजे झूले, मेहंदी, चुड़ियॉ व स्वादिष्ट व्यंजन रहेंगे। दिल्ली स्ट्डी गु्रप की महिला सदस्य इस अवसर पर भारत का परम्परागत ‘‘डांडिया नृत्य’’ करेंगी। इसके साथ राजस्थान के प्रसिद्ध परम्परागत गीत, संगीत व नृत्य का आयोजन भी किया जा रहा है।
दिल्ली के प्रसिद्ध सामाजिक व राजनीतिक जगत के नेता इस कार्यक्रम में सम्मिति होंगे। इस अवसर पर अनेक विदेशी दूतावासों के राजनयिक भी बड़ी संख्या में उपस्थित रहेंगे। ज्ञात रहे पिछले वर्षो में प्रतिवर्ष हरियाली तीज का यह कार्यक्रम श्री लाल कृष्ण आडवानी, श्री वैंकेया नाईडू, श्री मुख्तार अब्बास नकवी, श्री सैयद शाहनवाज हुसैन व पिछले वर्ष यह कार्यक्रम सांसद सदस्य श्री अनंत कुमार के निवास पर आयोजित किया गया था।
