Delhi Study Group, a prominent Indian NGO, condemned and expressed deep anguish over the Hindu Genocide in Bangladesh at a large protest meeting in New Delhi. The event, presided over by Dr. Vijay Jolly, shed light on the systematic persecution, forced conversions, violence, and displacement of Hindus in Bangladesh.
The political coup on 5th August 2024, which forced 10th elected Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to flee Dhaka and saw her replacement by Mohammad Yunus, has led to a manifold increase in religious persecution and violent attacks on minority Hindus.
Key concerns raised during the event included:
โ ๏ธ Mass persecution of Hindus, depriving them of security, dignity, and even their lives.
โ ๏ธ Unchecked violence, including arson, theft, vandalism, and looting against Hindu minorities.
โ ๏ธ Desecration of Hindu temples and deities, causing outrage and resentment.
โ ๏ธ Arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das, Spokesperson of Bangladesh Sammilit Sanatan Jagaran Joteโdemanding his immediate release.
โ ๏ธ Rise in religious hate crimes, threatening the very existence of Hindus in Bangladesh.
๐ Gratitude was extended to:
๐บ๐ธ US President-elect Donald Trump
๐บ๐ธ US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard
๐ฎ๐ณ Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi
for their support against the Hindu Genocide in Bangladesh.
๐น The protest meeting called for immediate action to ensure the safety and security of Hindus and all minorities in Bangladesh. It also emphasized the need for freedom of speech, dignity, and protection of minority rights.
๐น Delhi Study Group urged the Bangladesh Government to take strict measures against extremist elements and ensure justice for persecuted minorities.
๐น The event honored the resilience of the Hindu community and aimed to foster dialogue towards justice and greater protection for minorities in Bangladesh.
