The seminar on "MCD, DDA-Police & Illegal Constructions", held on 29th May 1996 at the Constitution Club, New Delhi, examined the growing issue of unauthorized constructions and their impact on urban governance. Shashikant Sharma elaborated on the challenges faced by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in regulating construction and urban planning. Sh. Ranjit Narain highlighted the role of law enforcement in tackling illegal encroachments and corruption within civic bodies. The discussion emphasized the need for stricter regulations, better coordination between agencies, and public awareness to curb unauthorized constructions in Delhi.
