Sanitary Napkin Distribution for Poor Women’s Hygiene
Menstrual hygiene is a major yet often overlooked issue in India, especially among poor women who lack access to affordable sanitary products. Many are forced to use unsafe alternatives, leading to severe health risks, infections, and reproductive issues.
To address this concern, Delhi Study Group has been actively distributing free sanitary napkins to underprivileged women, ensuring they have access to safe and hygienic menstrual care.
Apart from distribution, we also conduct awareness sessions to educate women on the importance of menstrual hygiene, dispelling myths and breaking taboos associated with periods.
One woman from a slum area shared, “Before this, we had no choice but to use cloth, which was very uncomfortable. These sanitary pads have given us dignity and better health.”
This initiative is a step towards empowering women, ensuring that menstruation is not a barrier to their health, education, or daily lives.
