The global pandemic left thousands of Indians stranded abroad, including Non-Resident Indians in the UK who wished to return home. With commercial flights grounded and travel restrictions in place, a repatriation initiative was launched to facilitate the safe return of Indian citizens from London to Delhi. Special chartered flights were arranged in collaboration with the Indian government, ensuring a smooth and organized evacuation. Health screenings, quarantine facilities, and COVID-19 safety protocols were implemented to safeguard passengers. The successful repatriation brought relief to many families and highlighted the strength of India’s global network in times of crisis.
