
The seminar on "NRIs and Their Motherland", held on 4th January 1997, focused on the contributions of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) to India's growth and the challenges they face in maintaining strong ties with their homeland. Sh. Swaraj Paul shared insights on how NRIs can play a pivotal role in India’s economic and industrial development. Sh. Jagdish Mukhi highlighted government policies aimed at strengthening connections with the Indian diaspora, including investment opportunities and dual citizenship discussions. The session emphasized the need for greater engagement between NRIs and India to foster national progress.
