
The protest meeting held on 30th October 1996 at the Constitution Club, New Delhi, addressed concerns over press freedom following an alleged attack on media by Kanshi Ram, the President of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Sh. Kuldip Nayar, a veteran journalist and diplomat, strongly condemned any actions undermining journalistic independence.
