Distributing Woolen Blankets to the Poor During Winters
Delhi’s harsh winters can be brutal for the homeless and underprivileged, many of whom lack proper shelter or warm clothing to survive freezing temperatures. To address this issue, Delhi Study Group organizes an annual blanket distribution drive, ensuring that those in need receive warmth and protection during the cold months.
Each year, our volunteers identify areas where the need is highest—such as slums, roadside settlements, and underpasses where homeless individuals take shelter. Hundreds of woolen blankets are distributed to families, elderly individuals, and children who are the most vulnerable to extreme cold.
One of the most heartwarming moments during our recent drive was when an elderly couple, who had been living on the streets, expressed their deep gratitude, saying, “For us, this blanket is not just warmth; it is life-saving.” Moments like these reinforce our belief that small acts of kindness can bring immense relief to those struggling to survive.
Delhi Study Group is committed to continuing this initiative every winter, ensuring that no one is left helpless against the cold. We believe that warmth is a basic necessity, not a luxury, and we encourage more people to join us in spreading comfort and care.
